AIM-USA Introduces Avionics Multi-Protocol VXI Board

September 2009 - Niwot, CO - AIM-USA, manufacturer of Avionics Test & Simulation Products for Fibre Channel, MILSTD-
1553, ARINC429 and AFDX products has developed a New VXIbus multi-protocol product. The multi-protocol VXI Board has on-board PMC sites that will host AIM-USA Avionics modules or any third party PMC module.

The VXI-CMB is a single C-sized card that can be configured with up a combination of up to 8 MIL-STD-1553A/B Databus streams or up to 64 ARINC429 channels. The VXICMB also contains an on-board IRIG-B processor for synchronization between modules and other devices.

The VXI1553 features 1, 2, 4, or 8 streams of MIL-STD-1553. Each 1553 is independently programmable as a Bus Controller, 31 remote terminals, and a chronological bus monitor with powerful triggering.

The VXI429 features 8, 16, 32, or 64 channels of ARINC429. Each channel can be programmed to either Receive (Rx) or Transmit (Tx). The VXI429 has Powerful Transmit Mode (Rate or Framing Operation) that is controlled by an onboard processor. The VXI429 contains a deep Chronological Monitor with triggering on label, data, or errors.
